Big News… I think Boise Weekly must have been reviewing this restaurant when they said “Best Burger in Boise” last year. They must have learned how to do burgers right after closing the Eagle location.
I have been in twice now, as I was skeptical of consistency. The first visit was on opening week just 15 minutes before close. I ordered the Salmon Burger with no sides. It was basically a salmon filet on a bun with some amazing goat cheese and sauce. Solid performance that night.
Today, I ventured for the Calexico Burger. The Ghost pepper sauce combined with avocado and bacon simply rocked this burger. It was served at just beyond medium, as I forgot to ask for medium-rare. Flavors blended very well.
On the side of today’s burger I had a salad with a creamy Italian dressing. It was good, but the shaved brussel sprouts were a bit hard to chew. The rest was snappy and delicious.
