Do you Park in a Driveway

Here, we enjoy the trees and a new fence with dimmable wireless lighting.

November 2008 – First Day in New Home

10 years ago, the plants were still young, a few had died, and the edge of the driveway was a small cliff to the road below. Don’t get me wrong, I was thankful for a driveway.

Over the 10 years, a few new trees were planted, and a few died. The ones that lived grew to amazing heights.

Mom moved in, and said, someone is going to fall off that edge. My typical reply… “don’t walk on the edge”. But, you can’t tell mom that.

Now, we have a wonderful fence to keep you on the driveway. I’m looking forward to seeing the lights tonight.

Fence along the cliff side. Still need to trim the posts.
The lights create a nice pattern in the dark too.
You can get from one end to the other in the light now.

  1. Looks amazing. Any worries about snow buildup? Do you have to push it all out to the end and over the edge?

    1. No. I have a 20HP snow thrower that clears the fence and the road below. The bottom rail was set to be just above the drag plate on the thrower. 🙂

    1. The big lights are set at 30 feet apart. There are switched plugs at both ends for Christmas lights when we get there.
