May Showers Bring June Flowers
We planted the garden on May 5th. We were fairly certain the frozen mornings had past. The temperature was running into the 70s most days, and it seemed the flowers would be ready to grow.
Then, the weather flipped. Daytime temps dropped into the 50s and nighttime came close to freezing. And, it rained. Oh, boy, did it rain. 4.49 inches of rain in May kept the plant boxes really wet.
As the sun starts to warm the plants, they are shooting off in every direction. The roses have perked up, and not one died. The pictures are hard to understand with the green trees behind everything, but here you go…
